Work work Work!

After a long and eventful summer (if you've been following, you know!) it's back to work for me. I'm at the end of my 5th day back, doing in services, department chair stuff (even though I keep saying I'm not the dept chair), and meetings galore. Today was by far the longest at 13 hours, but when there is so much to be done before the kids hit the doors, you just do it. One more long day of meetings and prep work (please please please let my new curriculum show up first thing tomorrow!!!), then I'm forcing myself to stay home on Wednesday to get my Challenge quilt quilted. I am not going into work Wednesday, I am not going into work Wednesday, I am not going into work Wednesday (its a noncontractual day, so I'm not playing hookey)! this challenge has really been a challenge for me, I've changed it a few (meaning at least a dozen) times before I cut into any of the fabrics. So here's a sneak peak...

Thats pommegranite pink with navy/white polka dots.

Isn't it awesome that you can't tell what it's going to be?!

Well, time to put this teacher away for the night. I'll leave you with this to wonder about... do teachers really live in their closets?

  1. Hey Girl! Glad you had a great summer! I enjoyed reading about your travels. Good luck getting ready for school. I won't be at the meeting in August...will be on the west coast for a wedding in Portland and the a drive down the coast to LA. See you soon!

  2. I knew teachers just stayed at school all summer hibernating! Now I have proof!
